Welcome
Welcome
Dear EEPC members, sponsors and colleagues,
Welcome to the 2025 EEPC Ethylene Conference in St Julians, Malta.
The Organizing Committee is delighted to present to you a diverse three-day program.
We hope that you find this program thought provoking and that it inspires you to return to your workplace with ideas to reduce risk and to improve your operations.
This year, we have chosen a guiding theme for each day of the conference:
- Wednesday afternoon: “Sustainability and new technologies”
- Thursday: “Reliability and integrity”
- Friday: “Safety and environment”.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Conference Theme: Balancing competitiveness and sustainability in the European Petrochemical Market
The program is published on this website. It includes keynote speeches and in-depth technical presentations. In addition, Working and Issue Groups will present their analysis and study results completed in the past year. This will inform you of current industry trends and allow you to act on relevant issues.
On Wednesday morning, prior to the full conference opening, there will be eight technical presentations. These presentations introduce products and services being offered by some of our Sponsors. Sessions are always well received and have become a routine addition to our program. These are ‘taster’ sessions on a subject of interest, so we are delighted you will have the whole conference to visit Sponsors’ booths and find out more.
On Thursday morning four breakout sessions will be organized with the support of our Issue Groups. These will provide smaller forums for active engagement on the following topics of interest for our industry:
- Turbo- Machinery ‘Complex Repairs’
- Preservation and restart of temporary idled units
- Unplanned furnace shutdown and how to respond
- Alternative steam cracker feedstocks.
Your name badge will remind you which breakout session you selected when registering. We ask that you attend that session, as space can be limited.
